Portfolio Preparation Program for High school and College
ages 13-18

This is an all inclusive program which will fully prepare the student for both the Art Magnet audition requirements and the demands of the curriculum once they are accepted. This program differs from any other in that it is a full instruction, preparation, and support to apply to Art School. I will work with the student both before and after auditions in order to ensure that they will be well prepared when they enter the the school of their choice.

Middle Mixed Media
ages 10-12In this class students will explore a variety of techniques and mediums. We will work with pencil, acrylic, ink and watercolor on projects that will build fundamental skills and develop creativity, while having fun. Recommended for students with a serious interest in art. This is a perfect preparatory class for students wishing to audition for Middle School Art Magnet Programs.All materials will be provided.Students are asked to bring a 24″x 30″ portfolio and a hardbound sketchbook.Tuesdays: 4:30-6:004 classes: $125 – 10 Clases: $250

Exploring Mixed Media for Kids

ages 7 – 10

Young people love to explore, and try new things. This is a fun class that provides variety while building basic art skills. We will work in many different mediums in order to stimulate interest and encourage creativity, while providing a good foundation in drawing skills and craftsmanship. A great way to have fun while learning!

This is the class for those of you who “don’t know how to draw a straight line” … you know who you are… but have always dreamed of learning to draw. In this 4 week class you will learn the fundamentals of drawing, and explore the elements of art, using a variety of drawing mediums. We will work with a series of projects that will help you to “see “as an artist, and introduce you to drawing from observation, shading and perspective. This class is not ongoing, although you may repeat it as many times as you wish.

Painting Classes in Miami
Learn the basics of this vibrant medium. Because of its versatile nature, acrylic paint allows seemingly limitless creative expression.
In this class you will learn the basic techniques of painting with acrylics. You will start with simple exercises to develop your skills and to become familiar with the medium. You will then apply these techniques to your paintings. We will work from both still life and photographs, and your own imagination. This class is ongoing.
